If you are visiting this site from AOL, most graphics from the web are compressed on your system and do not look as the designer intended. You can usually avoid this by following this procedure: Go to "My AOL", then to preferences, click on the "WWW" button, then from the box that comes up, choose the "Web Graphics" tab. Click on to UNCHECK the box for "use compressed graphics". You must then clear your browser's cache! or your browser will show you the website's pages from memory, not a fresh copy of the page.

Maritime encounters gives an account by famous individuals who played a part in Manx maritime history. Using interaction with 3D objects, visitors can choose whose story they wish to see and hear.
Manx Celtic life is portrayed in a full-size recreated interior of a Round-House, where a chieftain’s family is depicted, disturbed at night by a storm. Atmospheric sound is used to great effect here, along with narrative telling the story.
The Stories in the Stones is recreated as a carpet of mist swirls around Celtic and Viking crosses. A two-screened theatre-style presentation is given enhanced by surround sound.
