If you are visiting this site from AOL, most graphics from the web are compressed on your system and do not look as the designer intended. You can usually avoid this by following this procedure: Go to "My AOL", then to preferences, click on the "WWW" button, then from the box that comes up, choose the "Web Graphics" tab. Click on to UNCHECK the box for "use compressed graphics". You must then clear your browser's cache! or your browser will show you the website's pages from memory, not a fresh copy of the page.
RECOMMENDED: V4.0 browsers. 1024x768+

DJW became involved in both the highly interactive Explore and the time-travelling Wildscreen exhibitions. We were asked to resolve such diverse challenges as lighting a 450 million year "Tree of Life", depicting the evolutionary path of life on Earth, and recreating the sounds of tropical jungles.
The Wildscreen complex demonstrates the evolutionary story of life on Earth. The "Tree of Life" effects are made up of 34 individually controllable light sources. Overlayed onto this are two overlapping front projection video shows and six spotlights which project gobo images.
Video and audio effects are synchronised throughout the gallery. The entire networked system is spread across 4 control rooms and includes 128 channels of video.
